A traditional Turkmen tahya embroidered with floral motifs is arranged beside spools of thread and a glass oil lamp against rich red drapery. Moshiev’s precise realist technique brings particular attention to the textures of embroidery, metal, glass and fabric, transforming familiar objects of everyday and cultural life into a carefully balanced still life.
